Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut film starring Salman Khan titled ‘Kick’ has been going great guns in terms of box office collections and it is gradually beating many movies on the all-time records list – the latest in its gunsights was Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’.
In this box office analysis, we compare the second week box office collections of ‘Kick’ to that of other films like ‘Dhoom 3’, ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Chennai Express’.
Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra starrer Dhoom 3 that shattered many a records continues to hold the top slot having collecting Rs 68.33 crore in its second week. But Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ has managed to make it to No 3, collecting Rs 51.02 crore.
Though quite behind Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3’ that collected Rs 59.48 crore, Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express that collected Rs 43.85 crore.
Kick box office collections till August 9 have been Rs 223.94 crore in India and Rs 67.34 crore+ overseas with overall business (gross) at Rs 291.28 crore.
