Samsung brings India’s first digital education store

Company claims to be the first in India to offer digital education store for students

Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of its Smart Learning solution, India?s first education store under its MSC (Media Solutions Centre) division.

Samsung Smart Learning is a education solution designed to offer the best-in?class interactive study material to students. The solution will supplement the educational needs of over 70 million students studying in class 1 to 12 for CBSE board and another 4.5 million students who are preparing for competitive examinations. The solution will be augmented to include other school boards, higher education and skill building content in due course.

?Samsung Smart Learning Solutions is a first-of-its kind service innovation in India which has the potential of revolutionising the educational landscape in the country. Designed to supplement traditional classroom learning, the content is based on a problem solving and interactive approach for students, and stresses on concept understanding in students,? said Tarun Malik, Director – Media Solutions Centre – South West Asia, Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Smart Learning will be available on all Samsung tablets and will empower students to complement classroom learning. It is the only digital platform currently in the country that integrates high quality education content curated from leading education partners and academicians. Smart Learning is a part of software services leadership strategy of Samsung that aims to make best-in-class content easily accessible to all consumers in the country.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Hussain, Principal – DPS, Mathura Road, said, ?The launch of Samsung Smart Learning new age digital learning platform for school children is an innovative initiative by Samsung. Appreciations to them for trying to bring about the change in the way students in India learn. Our country needs to leverage the advancements in technology to address the issue of providing quality education to all.?

A cloud based service, Samsung Smart Learning can be accessed anytime, anywhere with online and offline access points. Approximately 7000 stores across India have been equipped to sell education content on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which will be gradually extended to 10,000 stores.
