Sangeetha Mobiles to open 1000 stores by March 2015

Sangeetha Mobiles, a pioneer in multi-brand retail solutions plans to open 1000 stores in the country by March 2015 which would include 500 new stores in north India to market and sell all major Indian and multi-national mobile brands. At present the company has 300 stores, mostly in south where it plans to add 200 more stores by next year to take the total number of stores in the country to 1000.

Three stores, including one each in Chandigarh, Mohali and Zirakpur were inaugurated on Fritoday day by Kenichiro Hibi, MD, Sony India, while another store would be inaugurated in Ludhiana on Saturday. Sangeetha has given its franchise to Three Vee for the entire North India. All the new stores in the North will be run on a unique franchisee model which is designed to motivate Indian businessmen and entrepreneurs to be a part of this unique experience.

L. Subhash Chandra, Managing Director, Sangeetha Mobiles Private Limited told media persons at the launch that , ?over the years, we have always taken a consumer-first strategy that has helped us establish ourselves as leaders in South India with over 10 million customers. We now look forward to taking our best practises and customer centric solutions to new markets in the North of India.? Subhash Chandra informed that Sangeetha Mobiles is targeting a turnover of Rs. 1000 crore by the end of March, 2014. He said that it is a pioneer in setting industry standards as it was the first retailer ever in the country to sell mobile phones with bills.
