?It is a very difficult situation where a company’s trading is suspended because that is an extreme state.? The Sebi chairman was responding to queries related to NSE’s decision of suspending Deccan Chronicle Holdings for failing to comply with various provisions of the listing agreement.


Cell firms lose 6-m subscribers

The fall in the number of telephone connections continued in December with telecom majors such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea losing more than 6 million subscribers, bringing down the user base to 657.16 million, according to the data released by the COAI.

Total subscriber base at the end of November 2011 stood at 663.78 million users. The top three operators ? Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular ? lost over 5 million users during the month.
