Shah Rukh Khan has done it again. The Bollywood superstar’s ‘Happy New Year’ box office collections have now overtaken the lifetime business of ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Holiday – A Solider is Never Off Duty’ inside four days.
Shah Rukh Khan–Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Happy New Year’ collections were Rs 123.87 crore in the domestic box office till Monday, which is more than the lifetime box office collections of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Jai Ho’ (Rs 116 crore) and and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday’ (Rs 112.45).
Among the 2014 releases, ‘Happy New Year’ is now just behind Salkam Khan’s ‘Kick’ (Rs 231.85 crore), Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang (Rs 179.08 crore) and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns (Rs 140.62 crore).
With the biggest opening day collections of Rs 44.97 crore – even better than Dhoom 3′ – ‘Happy New Year’ has been breaking records left and right.
