Singapore’s Changi Airport has been voted the World?s Best Airport for the second year in a row at the prestigious 2014 Skytrax World Airport Awards, held in Barcelona.
These awards are known globally as the most prestigious accolades for the world airport industry, based on the largest, independent worldwide airport customer satisfaction survey completed by more than 12 million travellers. In addition, Changi Airport is also conferred the Best Airport for leisure amenities.
The Incheon International Airport in Seoul and Munich Airport have been adjudged second and third best airport. None of India’s top airports figured in the top 10 list.
The World Airport Awards are based on 12.85 million customer nominations across 110 nationalities of air travellers, and included 410 airports worldwide. The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators for airport service and product – from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate.
