British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson is looking for a woman who starred as the model for the original Virgin logo in 1970.
Branson posted on his blog that ‘the model in the image appeared again and again as the logo evolved, starting off in our mail order record service when I was 20 years old. It was still present when we launched Virgin Records in 1973’.
He added that they have sadly lost track of her. We think she is now living in Australia, and would love to track her down, the Herald Sun reports
Branson and his team are keen to reunite with the logo model as Virgin Records celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
The label’s first release on May 25 in 1973 was the iconic Tubular Bells record by Mike Oldfield, it added.
