The smart phone industry is poised to show triple digit growth in next three years according to Ravi Kunwar, Director, North, Nokia India (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles).
During 2013, the smart phone industry grew at a whopping 181 per cent. The total number of smart phones sold during this year was 44 million. The year 2012 too showed fastest growth in this segment. Ravi Kunwar said that the blazing growth trail would continue till 2017 and beyond.
Ravi Kunwar who was here in Chandigarh today to launch Lumia 630 model said that another trend that would be visible in coming years would be coming down of price barrier. He said that India continues to be top market for Lumia phones and of late Lumia 520 had become fastest selling device in view of affordability factor coupled with high tech features.
