The world's biggest snow theme park, Snow World in Hyderabad, has hit an another attraction called the `Kart Cave'. On a themed arena of 40,000 sq.ft, the cave is Asia's first and claimed to be the biggest to be used for indoor go karting and has been set up with an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
Designed and executed by the renowned architect and art director Nitish Roy of Nitish Roy Creations, the cave is located in the cellar of the Snow World building for an exclusive indoor go karting facility. The construction took about an year with 300 labourers to complete this thematic indoor go karting arena. The indoors replicate a cave uniquely designed using plaster of paris. It has the modern exhaust system as well as fresh air systems to ensure unterrupted supply of fresh air.
Speaking to the media, Venkateswara Rao, managing director said that it will have 12 go karts with transponders imported from the UK with remote controlling operation. Further, Snow World has tied up with the Motor Sports Association of India for a certified go karting track.
Snow World, promoted by Ocean Park Multitech Ltd, is the first snow theme park and the world's first leisure snow dome with hitech entertainment complex. Ocean Park is a member of the US-based World Water Park Association and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, besides the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries.
Snow World is developed in collaboration with the department of tourism, government of Andhra Pradesh and Ocean Park Multitech Ltd. Located on a 65,000 sq.ft space, the snow dome in Snow World is about 17,000 sq.ft which was set up at a cost of Rs 13 crore and has established partnerships with international partners, suppliers and consultants for winter sports and the leisure industry.
