Low cost carrier SpiceJet it has rolled out discounts on Bangalore-Goa, and Bangalore-Chennai routes for travel from June 12, for Rs 1,499, excluding statutory taxes.
?As a part of the ongoing policy to stimulate the market by offering attractive fares and grow the travel industry, SpiceJet is glad to come out with this special offer on high demand routes like Goa and Chennai from Bangalore,? said Kaneswaran Avili, COO, SpiceJet.
Earlier in the month, SpiceJet had announced up to 25 per cent discount on tickets for four or more passengers travelling together on domestic flights. The airline had also launched discount fare for direct and connecting flights to North and eastern cities.
Since January, SpiceJet has announced over seven such discount offers, many of which have been followed by similar discounts from IndiGo, Air India and GoAir. Incidentally, in March the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation had pulled SpiceJet for offering select few seats at Re 1, calling the move ?predatory pricing? and harmful for the industry.
