SAD president Sukhbhir Singh Badal Friday termed as state Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh as a “non-performer” and said time has come for the people of Moga to decide whether they want to vote for development or non-performance.
Campaigning for party candidate Joginderpal Jain at Jhandewala village, Sukbhir claimed that Moga witnessed an era of development during the SAD-BJP regime. The previous Congress government led by Amarinder had completely ignored the progress of Moga and he cannot point a single initiative taken by him for the district, the Deputy chief minister said. Sukhbir said the defeat in Moga by-poll will end the political career of Amarinder as the party has already faced humiliating defeat in assembly polls.
Taking a dig at factionalism in Congress party, Sukhbir said that while in SAD-BJP alliance everyone was competing with one another to attract maximum votes, in Congress it is a fight for the captaincy of the sinking ship.
