Taj Safaris, luxury wildlife travel circuit brings a new experience of travel in the wild. In collaboration with &Beyond, Taj Safaris offers the ardent traveller guided jungle walks, game viewing and meditative solitude amidst the unparalleled majesty of the jungle. Sculpted on the principal of wildlife and biodiversity conservation, Taj Safaris celebrated ?Big Birding Day? and spotted over a hundred species of birds over a period of 24 hours.
A tradition which is widely followed in South Africa, “The Big Birding Day” is a special day, where passion of birding is displayed to its fullest. An integral part of our ecosystem, birds are universal, widely distributed, easily observed, and form a vital part of our natural heritage. Joining in the revelries, the Taj Safaris Pashan Garh team enthusiastically celebrated this international custom. A diverse yet determined team comprising of three naturalists, a house keeping supervisor, and a chef equipped only with binoculars and torches, set out on this adventure.
The team spotted various species of birds like; Indian Peafowl, Savana Nightjar, Paddy field Pipits, Eurasian Sparrow Hawk, Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher, etc.
More formally known as Avitourism, bird watching is a recreational activity indulged in by guests, naturalists and the Taj Safaris staff alike. Displaying a fond affection for the birds, trained naturalists at the lodges skillfully impart their knowledge during the safari drives and spread awareness, thus contributing significantly to their conservation.
