Telecommunications solutions provider Tata Communications on Tuesday said the company?s net loss widened to Rs 274 crore for the second quarter, compared with R165 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Total income of the company increased by 28% to R4,303 crore from R3,372 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Tata Communications, which sells wholesale voice, data and internet solutions to enterprise customers, said increased spending on sales and marketing and new products-led expenditure exceed the revenues, which hurt the profitability of the company further.
Share of the company closed down 0.38% at R251.75 on Tuesday on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
They have gained 34% in the past one year.
