Tuesday’s meeting of the Telecom Commission to discuss uniform spectrum usage charge (SUC) for all operators at 3% of adjusted gross revenue has been postponed, reports fe Bureau in New Delhi. The meeting is now likely to take place on January 2. The commission has to decide on Trai’s recommendation of charging a uniform SUC at 3% of AGR. However, BWA operators like Reliance Jio are opposed to this as they now pay 1%. GSM operators who pay an escalating charge of 3-8% have said that without a flat rate the forthcoming spectrum auctions would be hit.
