Under the six-year managed services contract, TCS will handle delivery of application maintenance and development services across DNB?s IT portfolio, spanning channels, core-banking and master data areas, TCS said.

Wipro to hike staff by 500 in Nordic region

Wipro on Tuesday announced plans to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region with an increase in headcount by 500 over the next three years and the appointment of Carl-Henrik Hallstrom as regional head for the region, effective July 1. Gujarat Gas inks MoU with GSPC

Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) have entered into a MoU for a long-term gas supply deal. As per the MoU, GSPC has agreed to supply 0.85 mmscm of gas per day to GGCL from January 1 to June 30, 2025. The MoU was signed by GSPC MD Tapan Ray and GGCL?s MD Sugata Sircar at Gandhinagar on Tuesday. The MoU is effective till December 31 or the signing of the relevant Gas Sales Contracts (GSC), whichever is earlier.

Renault August sales dip 4% to 3,733 units

Renault India on Tuesday reported a 4.6% decline in August sales at 3,733 units compared with 3,916 units for the same period a year ago, owing to rise in inflation, interest rates, fuel price and the rupee depreciation. Renault India achieved sales of 45,986 units during January-August 2013, growing over four-fold year-on-year, Renault India said.

Dutch varsity grants doctorate to TCS CEO

TCS CEO & managing director N Chandrasekaran has been granted an honorary doctorate by the Nyenrode Business Universiteit at the opening of its academic year 2013-2014. The university conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Chandrasekaran for his contributions towards business and society.
