During his examination Siddharth Trivedi stated that during 2010 sometime after IPL he had called Amit Singh a fellow player of Rajasthan Royals to a place outside Raj Path Club in Ahmedabad. Amit Singh was present with a Tommy. Tommy immediately suggested fixing matches and Trivedi declined. A day after that Amit Singh paid Trivedi Rs 1 lakh stating that the money was for the meeting with Tommy. According to Trivedi he did not met Tommy thereafter. Trivedi further stated that in 2011 (August or September) he had gone to Mohali to participate in JP Atray Tournament representing Air India. Ajit Chandila was also part of the Air India team. Trivedi was accompanied by his wife. When there was a two day break, he along with his wife and Chandila visited Golden Temple, Amritsar and on the way back Chandila introduced him to Deepak and Sandy (later on Trivedi learnt they were Deepak Kumar and Sandeep Sharma). Later, Chandila returned with a black bag with Rs 1.5 lakh in it. When they reached their hotel in Chandigarh, Chandila gave Rs 50,00 to Trivedi, saying he could use it for shopping with his wife. Trivedi stated that Chandila had told him that the amount had been paid by Deepak and Sandy for the meeting and and introduction he had made. The next day they went to Delhi for shopping and visited the DLF Promenade Mall. Deepak was also at the Mall, to meet Chandila. Later Trivedi, his wife and Chandila purchased perfumes and the bills were paid by Chandila.

In 2012 around Feb/March Trivedi had invited Chandila to represent his fathers academy team in a local tournament. Trivedi arranged for his stay at Ramanda Hotel in Ahmedabad and on the occasion of Trivedis dads birthday, he invited Chandila home and when Trivedi dropped Chandila back to the hotel, Chandila invited him up to his room.
