A plea by United Breweries Holdings (UBHL) to the Karnataka High Court seeking permission to pay a month’s salary to the employees of kfA has been adjourned to next week. The holding company of Vijay Mallya’s UB Group is seeking permission as it was previously ordered not to use the proceeds of its share sale to Diageo and had also been restrained from selling or pledging assets.

The application, which came up for hearing on Wednesday, has been adjourned to September 30 to allow the creditors of the airline, who are pursuing the winding-up petitions, to file their objections.
