Two killed in road accidents<\b>
Bangalore: Two men, including a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus driver, died in separate accidents in the city on Friday morning. A 34-year-old BMTC driver was crushed between two buses and died in the early hours of the morning at Deepanjali Nagar bus depot on Mysore Road. Guru Murthy, a resident of Azad Nagar, had just got down from his bus when another BMTC driver was reversing his vehicle. Murthy failed to notice the bus, which hit him from behind. He died at the spot. In another incident, a 25-year-old private firm employee died after a speeding lorry ran him over near Hebbal flyover on Friday morning.
Lift operator stabbed by biker dies<\b>
Bangalore: A 52-year-old who was stabbed on Thursday evening by a stranger on a motorbike in Pulikeshinagar died on Friday at a private hospital.
Syed Riaz Ahmed, a resident of KG Halli, and a lift operator at an apartment complex in Pulikeshinagar, was returning home on Thursday when a man riding a bike flung sand into his eyes and stabbed him with a rod. The biker fled the scene and Ahmed was rushed to a hospital, where he died at around 2 pm on Friday. Police haven’t found a motive behind the murder yet. A search for the killer is afoot. ens
