Public sector lender Central Bank of India’s executive director Vijayalakshmi R Iyer is set to take over as chairman and managing director of Bank of India (BOI). Iyer?s appointment follows that of Shubhalakshmi Panse, recently elevated from the role of ED at Vijaya Bank to CMD at Allahabad Bank.

Former CMD of BOI Alok K Mishra had vacated the office of CMD at BOI more than a month back on October 1. Since then BOI is running without its top executive.
