As part of its welfare function, PGI authorities organised a workshop on Friday for child-care workers in order to provide quality care to the children of its employees. With the increase in number of working parents and nuclear families more and more parents are seeking full time out of home care for their children starting as early as six months till they start going to school.
The workshop was inaugurated by the PGI director Yogesh Chawla who urged the workers to take proper care of the children in a manner that their parents are feel relieved. The workshop sensitised the workers on various issues. They were also given tips to handle their own conflicts. Dr Ramesh from the ESI hospital spoke about the basic steps. Dr Prahbhjot Malhi provided tips for age appropriate activity planning to enhance childhood skills and improve their school readiness.
