A worm was allegedly found in a burger served to one Hardeep Singh at McDonalds, West End Mall on Ferozepur road on Thursday evening.

Singh said that three burgers were ordered and the worm was inside one of them.

He said that they complained about it to the staff who offered free burgers later. “I told them to give us the burger in which the worm was found but they took it away and offered us new burgers for free,” he said.

“I also tried to contact the district health officer but he did not attend my calls. I was offered free meals in future in return for suppressing the matter,” he said.

Food safety officer Ravinder Garg confirmed that samples were taken from McDonalds at Westend Mall. He said, “We took samples of vegetarian burgers from McDonalds at West End Mall and they will be sent for a quality check in lab.”
