After hours
Manish Sharma
Managing Director, Panasonic India
1 The job: I love the challenges my job has to offer every day. The consumer durable industry is one of the fastest growing industries, and is constantly evolving throwing up new challenges. Adding to this, the dynamism of a vibrant market like India puts me in an ideal position to be ever more creative and innovative and take the challenges head-on.
2 The weekdays: I start my day pretty early with some regular ?keep-me-fit? exercises. Practically, my day begins at 7 am with a business call with my colleagues in the global team in Japan. I am usually in office by 9.30 am and dedicate the first half of my day meeting members of the India leadership, marketing, and products team. Afternoons are mostly dedicated to meetings with partners and other stakeholders. The latter half of most days are occupied by either brainstorming sessions or scrutinising projects and assignments. After a usual 12-hour day, a comedy movie or a sitcom series along with my family, comes to my rescue. I am very particular about not carrying any work back home.
3 The weekend: My weekends are completely blocked for family. Apart from catching up on some lost sleep, I like to go for outings, movies, shopping with my kids and wife.
4 The logos: Panasonic Smartphone and Panasonic Ultrabook are my two prized possessions.
5 The toys: I love Louis Vuitton
and always carry a Mont Blanc with me
