Tata Group’s Infiniti Retail plans to open more than 100 Croma stores across the country during the next two years from the current 47.
Recently, Croma opened three new stores on 20,000 sq ft at South Extension, 6,000 sq ft at Saket and 12,000 sq ft at Gurgaon. Infiniti Retail, a subsidiary of Tata Sons had launched Croma chain of mega stores of consumer electronics and durables in 2006.
Ajit Joshi, managing director and CEO, Infiniti Retail Ltd said, ?We have received encouraging footfalls in Delhi , which has driven us to expand our reach to other prime locations. With the launch of Croma at South Extension, Saket and Gurgaon, we have now 13 stores in Delhi and 47 across the country. These stores have been designed to offer wide range of consumer electronics and durable products.?
Croma has two forms of retail outlets?one is the regular large-format stores and the other is the small-format stores known as zip stores.
Apart from Delhi-NCR, Croma is present in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat , Rajkot , Baroda , Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Infiniti Retail sells electronic goods of around 180 brands in its Croma stores.
