Bajaj Auto hopes to reverse the downtrend in two-wheeler segment with the launch of its new Discover 125 motorbike which it claims to be best in class power, pickup and drivability.
Mukesh Tewari, Circle Head-Motorcycles Business said during the launch here of all new Discover 125 that the two wheeler sector has witnessed slowdown and there is pressure with increasing inventories on the dealer side in the industry but added that the new affordable motorbike with added features would help reverse the trend.
The new Discover 124 motorcycle promises better fuel efficiency in the 125 cc segment with sportier looks, superior technology and features. It also offers equivalent mileage of a 100cc with promise to the commuters to live life to the fullest and ‘Jiyo Dana-Dan’, he said. It is also strong and sporty with a chiseled-muscular tank and equipped with petal disc brake, stylish alloy wheels and offers comfort through Nitrox suspension.
Manjit Singh Ghai, Regional Manager said that the Discover 125 (Drum Version) will be priced at Rs 48,348 (ex-showroom Chandigarh) and price-wise would be cheapest of all other motorcycles in 125 cc segment. It will be available in six colours ? Electron Blue, Wine Red, Charcoal Magenta, Charcoal Green, Silver Blue, and Silver Gold. ?We hope the demand to improve with the all new Discover 125 as Punjab market showed 14 per cent last year despite downtrend?, he observed. Overall, Bajaj has about 22 per cent market share.
