Back home, 21 of the 30 Sensex stocks ended in the red on Friday. In the broader market, breadth was weak with 2,252 stocks traded on the BSE ending lower compared with 677 advances. Most of the 13 BSE sectoral indices ended in the red. The BSE Realty (-5.16%), BSE Capital Goods (-4.75%) and BSE Power (-4.54%) were among the major losers.

The NSE cash turnover on Friday stood at R19,323.63 crore, while the turnover in the F&O segment was R2.87 lakh crore.
