The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police on Friday said that Shankarlal Guru, former chairman of the National Spot Exchange (NSEL) is being interrogated in connection with the Rs 5,575 crore scam at the commodity spot exchange . ?We have sent a team of officers to Ahmedabad to question Guru at his residence,? said Balsing Rajput, deputy commissioner of EOW of the Mumbai police. According to Rajput, properties of Spincot Textiles in Andhra Pradesh ? which owes R38.3 crore to NSEL ? have also been attached.
