Justice J P Devadhar, who retired from the Bombay High Court on April 8, has become the new presiding officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT). The appointment comes nearly 20 months after Justice N K Sodhi retired as the tribunal?s presiding officer. Devadhar was appointed an additional judge of the Bombay High Court in October 2001, after practising as an advocate for nearly 25 years.
