Lava Iris X5, with selfie camera, launched, priced at Rs 8,799

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, successor to Lava Iris X1 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor.

Every mobile player seems to be cashing in on the craze for selfies. Now, Lava International has launched the LAVA Iris X5 with a 5 MP Front Camera with flash, Auto-Focus, Omni BSI+ Camera Sensor and 84? wide angle lens.

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the successor to the Lava Iris X1 will retail for Rs 8,799.

Other features include an 8MP rear camera with Auto-Focus Omni BSI-2 camera sensor and a 5? HD (1280 x 720p) IPS Display with Full lamination

The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB. The X5 comes with a 2100mAh Li-Poly battery and an intelligent flip cover that reduces battery consumption.

The device also has a super slim 7.7 mm chassis.
