Facebook’s not failing
This refers to the edit 'The Facebook decade' (FE, February 3). Many pundits have predicted a fall in Facebook's revenues several times and even prophesied an ominous death for the social networking giant, but time and again Facebook has proved everybody wrong. It has become a very critical tool for marketing and disseminating information in the time of smartphones. Even though its user base has dropped on other platforms, it has successfully turned to smartphones which have boosted its revenue. FB's top managers understand that it needs to innovate and hence are fine-tuning codes to increase privacy settings so that parents and kids can co-exist without either being wary of other's presence.
