The policies of the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government had led to an all-round crisis in the economy, infrastructure, investment and investment sentiment, Union Minister for Law and Justice and Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
There was also demoralisation and lingering apprehension in the bureaucracy from top to bottom, Prasad said at the Indian Express’ Idea Exchange, which he said, PM Naendra Modi was keen to reverse.
Here are four points eyed by the Narendra Modi government to give a boosts to the bureaucrats to get the administrative machinery humming:
1. Decisions should be taken in a transparent manner without being influenced by extraneous considerations.
2. Decisions should be objective and on merit, and in national interest and consumer interest.
3. Let all work as a team
4. Let the bureaucrats open up also, come up with ideas.
