Nepal visit: IAF aircraft flies bulletproof cars, Modi may bring chef with him

Prime Minister Narendra Modi?s scheduled arrival in Nepal on Sunday appears quite different from that of his predecessors. An Indian Air force aircraft brought three bulletproof vehicles and communication equipment here on Thursday, after the host country and India reviewed the security situation in detail. ?This visit is almost like that of an American President,? a senior government official said.

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and President Ram Baran Yadav will be hosting a dinner and a launch in his honour, respectively. According to information available, Modi may bring his own chef during his visit.

As Nepal government appears keen to make the event historic, schools are set to be shut on Sunday, otherwise a working day in Nepal, to enable students to welcome Modi. In a practice not so usual, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is scheduled to go to the airport to receive the Indian Prime Minister.
