Nokia India today launched the much-awaited smartphone Lumia 720 Windows Phone 8 in Chandigarh. With the latest launch, at least five windows devices ?Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 720, 620 and Nokia Lumia 520 have been unveiled in the market here. The range is available from Rs 10,499 for Nokia Lumia 520 to Rs 38,000 for Nokia Lumia 920.
Ravi Kunwar, Director Sales-North, told at the launch function here today that the latest Nokia smartphone in India, Lumia 720 features a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen with ClearBlack Display technology. This display is extremely touch-sensitive and can be operated even when users are wearing gloves. This smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core CPU, coupled with 512MB RAM. It has 8GB internal memory, 7GB free SkyDrive storage and microSD support up to 64GB.
The all-new Lumia 720 has a 6.7MP Carl Zeiss camera with LED flash on the back, and a 1.3MP unit in the front. Connectivity features in the device include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC. Powered by a 2,000mAh battery, this smartphone boasts of wireless charging and unibody design.
He said that as a first and the one of its kind initiative, consumers can also opt for an insurance plan on purchase of Nokia Lumia device.
The offer comes in partnership with New India Assurance by paying a nominal premium of just Rs fifty. To a question if the company was innovating a device that was fully water proof, Siddanth Verma of Nokia India informed that, they would pass on the feed back to the company that has been leading in innovations.
