Nokia, now a subsidiary of Microsoft Devices, has launched a new budget-friendly Nokia 225 dual-SIM feature phone in India. The Nokia 225 is an entry-level phone with a 2.8-inch transmissive screen and an alpha-numerical keypad. It comes with the Nokia OS system, expandable storage (up to 32 GB) and a high-capacity battery, which can power the device for up to 21 hours of talktime and close to 27 days under standby mode. The company also claims that the phone can play music and videos for 51 hours and 13.7 hours, respectively, and enable Net browsing for 7.5 hours. Priced just under R3,400, the phone has a 2.0-megapixel camera with fixed focus, 2x digital zoom and video recording capability. Another notable feature is the splash- and dust-proof keyboard capable of withstanding daily wear and tear. The feature-rich Nokia 225 dual-SIM is targeted towards budget-conscious and first-time phone buyers.
