Pakistan’s repeated ceasefire violations resulted in the death of 4 civilians on Tuesday, while 8 were severely injured. 2 boys and one 18-year-old girl were killed in a firing from the other side of the border in the Ramgarh sector of the Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir. The fourth victim is yet to be identified. Pakistan had been violating ceasefire regularly following the surgical strikes conducted by India in the PoK, eliminating significant threats. India had also been retaliating but reports suggest that India has been targeting Pakistani army camps but is being careful that no Pak civilians are hurt in the crossfire.
Pakistani terrorists were also seen crossing the LoC in Jammu and Akshmir’s Kathua district. Footages of these armed men crossing the border were recorded via a CCTv camera. Pakistan is reported to have violated the ceasefire in various locations in the Jammu and Kashmir region; Balakot, Pallanwala and Kathua among many others.

Pakistan is also reported to have started firing in Nowshehra, Arnia and the Balakot region of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier last week, following repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan, the BSF’s retaliation had killed approximately 15 Pak rangers. Arun Kumar, ADG, BSF on Friday had said that while they could not confirm the number of casualties on the opposite side, approximately 15 Pakistani army men have been killed in retaliatory fire. The BSF had informed that the Pakistani forces have been trying to push militants into this side of the border as the Indian Army had foiled a couple of infiltration bids only a day before.
Earlier Pakistan had violated ceasefire in the Balakot sector of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani rangers had also been reported to have been using small arms, mortars, automatics, 82 mm Mortars and 120 mm Mortars. Meanwhile ADG, BSF, Arun Kumar had also said that the Indian Army would never open fire on a civilian population, but if Pakistan initiates firing, the soldiers from this side would retaliate. It has also been reported that at least 4 Pakistani posts have been destroyed during the retaliation by the Indian Army. The situation between India and Pakistan had worsened after the terror attack in Uri, which led to the death of 19 Indian soldiers.
