The first poster of PK not only became viral on the web owing to Aamir Khan’s nudity but also became a butt of jokes on the internet and faced many political and social criticisms. However, despite this, Aamir Khan continues to promote PK in full swing and the actor was to release the second poster of the film on August 15, Independence Day. However, he decided to postpone it since Shah Rukh Khan was to launch the trailer of Happy New Year today, August 14.
In fact, fans were eagerly awaiting this clash of sorts but Aamir Khan did not want the events to happen in quick succession. He is of the belief that every film and its team should have enough time to promote their ventures properly; hence he decided to push the second poster launch five days ahead to August 20.
Also, neither Aamir Khan nor his team approached Shah Rukh Khan’s team to postpone their event because Aamir wanted the Happy New Year team to go ahead since their trailer launch was pre-planned way ahead before the PK team decided to do the poster release on August 15.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Happy New Year is directed by Farah Khan and it also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivian Shah, and Jackie Shroff among others. The film is slated for a Diwali release in October.
On the other hand, PK is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra along with Rajkumar Hirani and UTV India. The film, directed by Rajkumar also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and is slated to release on December 19.
