Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ is making big waves with its box office collections and this has maneuvered the movie into a position that can threaten the humongous record set by Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’.

‘Kick’ has become this year’s top grosser and the fastest to enter Rs 100 crore club and is nearing the Rs 300 crore mark, which it is expected to breach easily.

With the Bollywood-loving nation’s attention now riveted on ‘Kick’, the question in everyone’s mind is, ‘will superstar Salman Khan be able to work his magic and break the stranglehold of Aamir Khan at the box office?

It must also be said that the immaculate-as-usual Aamir Khan had outdone himself in ‘Dhoom 3’. The film rewrote Bollywood history with its gross box office collections touching never-before-heard numbers. The blockbuster had raked in more than Rs 500 crore by making Rs 351.29 crore (Hindi+ Tamil+Telegu) in India and Rs 150.06 crore abroad, according to Yash Raj Films. It also holds the record of being the fastest film to reach Rs 100 crore (3 days) and Rs 200 crore club. In short, what Dhoom 3 has done was amazing and mind boggling.

No one in the industry thought that could be surpassed, but never say never to Salman Khan. ‘Kick’ is still going strong and is on the cusp of becoming an actual threat to Dhoom 3.

Considering that the competition has been light for Salman Khan over the last 2 weeks, the future sure does look rosy.
