Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Tuesday said it expected the operations at its two plants in Bidadi to return to normalcy at the earliest as employees resume work, ending a month-long stand-off.

?We expect the normalcy of operations at the earliest,? the company said. Toyota?s two plants have been running on a single shift for the past month with production at half the installed capacity, which resulted in longer waiting periods for its vehicles. The company said, ?We would like to modulate our production to meet the market demand.?

Toyota also added that the May launch of the Etios Cross, a new version of its Etios Liva hatchback, is as per schedule, but did not comment on a likely launch date.
