UST Global expands its Bangalore center, plans to add 2500 staff by 2015

UST Global started its operations in Bangalore two years ago with 600 employees.

UST Global, an IT solutions and services company today said that it has expanded its facility in Bangalore. Company has plans to nearly double its headcount at Bangalore facility to 2500 by 2015.

The California headquatered company started its operations in Bangalore two years ago with 600 employees and today this facility has over 1200 staff, providing services in application development, support & maintenance, testing, validation & verification and analytics area to major customers in retail, healthcare and hi-tech (semiconductor and engineering) verticals.

According to Sudhansu Panigrahi, Centre Head – UST Global Bangalore Centre, most MNCs have their global in-house centres (GIC) in Bangalore and several of these large GICs leverage UST capabilities across industries.

?The Bangalore center has seen particular success with close to 14 clients in the semiconductor, healthcare and retail verticals. We intend to continue to leverage our expertise in these fields and also acquire new customers primarily with captive centers in the region,? said Panigrahi.

?Bangalore is also a strategic location for all our other Indian customers. Our facility here has helped us remain in close proximity with customers and allowed us to tap into an extremely skilled talent pool, while also strengthening our brand presence,? added Sunil Balakrishnan, Global Head for Development Center Operations, UST Global.

UST Global has over 8,500 employees in India, across centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon.
